The Galway Chess Congress
The Galway Chess club runs a major tournament each year, typically
at the end of September or early October. This tournament has had prizemoney
for up to 10,000 and we get entries from all over Ireland, the UK and
further afield. The tournament is one of the top four in Ireland and is run
under the auspices of the Irish Chess Union (ICU).
